Cathy Arment

Alternate Department Executive Committee Chairperson

My name is Cathleen {Cathy} Arment. I am an Army Veteran.  I was married for 35 years and, after losing my husband in 2018, I become very depressed. My old-time Army friend asked if I would like to join the DAV and be part of their Honor Guard. I did join and have met an amazing group of people. I am now the Adjutant of this Chapter and I am very happy to be part of an amazing organization that is there to help veterans get their claims benefits and to be part of a community that helps and understands what we are going through. It is a family that we can turn to for the care and understanding we need. I am now part of this amazing family who is giving back by volunteering with Chapter 12 in Henderson, NV.

I joined the United States Marine Corps in June 1989 from Montana. I became an 0311 Infantryman. I was selected to become a Chief Warrant Officer in 2005 and was commissioned in February 2006 to Chief Warrant Officer 2 with the MOS of Infantry Weapons Officer. I retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 5 in September 2019. Currently, I volunteer as a CSO for the DAV Black Mountain Chapter 12 at the Vet Center in Henderson, NV.
